"Moe Green's" EP "Free Water", a seven-track collection of new songs and remixes, was released in late December of last year, and since, the up-and-comer has released a string of visuals from the project, including the latest, today, for"Glory". The song was produced by "Fly Commons" and features recent Atlantic Records signee "Netta B", and offers an introspective look into "Moe's" efforts to break out of his day-to-day routine and strive for more.
"I'm documenting where I'm at in my life at this point in time," explains "Moe" on the inspiration behind the track, and the video, directed by J. Sutherland, takes the same contemplative approach. Opening with a time-lapsed view overlooking San Francisco, the video features "Moe" and "Netta" in a variety of solo performance shots, as "Moe" walks through the famed Clarion Alley in the Mission District of San Francisco, visits a church in the city, and more.
For "Moe", the visual is about framing the different ways that people find success and personal achievement. "People find glory in life from different sources," he notes, pointing to the end of the video where "Moe Green's" father, Greg Carter, Sr., celebrates his team winning it all.
