"The Dime" is a multi genre hip hop duo out of"Richmond, Ca".
"The Dime" is made up of "Chioke" and "K.nightshift", who's sound is a mix of soul, r&b, hip-hop contemporary type beats, with and old skool 90's feel and appeal.
Their new album "Brick Yard Cove" dropped in May with 20 tracks. Confident and really wanting to showcase their style and rap profile, there are limited features on "Brick Yard Cove".
For me, that's a plus because it allows you to get to know them and their style and like them for what they bring, than for the track with ______ on it. If you don't know, you're about to find out, cuz "The Dime", is show'n and proven, while keep you bump'n & groove'n.

Twitter: IMAKEMADBEATS Facebook: IMAKEMADBEATS Myspace: imakemadbeats "IMAKEMADBEATS" released his dual-EP "Daylight/Nighlight"on 12/14/10 and this whole album cracks. This album deserves a toast, cuz it reps old skool "East Coast". I just dug the beats and the flows, and this is a prime example how a good album goes.
"IMAKEMADBEATS" innovative dual-EP "Daylight/Nightlight", IMMB enlists the lyrical styling of "MidaZ The Beast" to form the duo "Blakout" and take us into the "Nightlight", which is a contrast in both name and style to the "Daylight" side of the EP, "Flyers," was the first single from "Nightlight", which is filled full of angry rhymes over a "venomous soundscape," as "IMAKEMADBEATS" calls it.
Taking aim at the darker side of life "MidaZ" spits about a lack of respect from promoters and all hip-hop heads in general, delivering his rant filled with emotion, with the song's title and repeating chorus serving as the main focal point for the emcee. "I’ll never forget Method Man’s 'Torture,' says "IMAKEMADBEATS", speaking on the inspiration for the song's subject matter. "In it, he said, 'Say what you like, just spell my name right.' This song is dedicated to people who don’t respect you enough to spell your name right."
"Nightlight", in its edited form, will be available for free download next week. "Daylight/Nightlight" will be available in its full, unedited form for sale as a physical release in the near future.

"Fat Joe" Back To Take Us For A Ride "The Darkside" Volume:1"
"Fat Joe" is tired of being behind the scene and is ready to step back on the scene crispy & clean. but not lean. Excited bout his new album "The Darkside Volume:1" releasing June 29th. "Fat Joe" sat down with "MTV" & "Vibe" to break the hype.
"This album, I just wanted to take it to the streets crazy," Joe said in an interview. "When I go on tour I see a lot of my fans that are real loyal. They all kept telling me, 'Yo, Joe we want you to come back to the hardcore.' I tried to make them happy so I just took it all the way to the dark side. I'm just trying to give 'em that balance of that real street gritty Fat Joe -- the gangsta early Fat Joe -- but at the same time who also knows how to make hit records." (VIBE)
"I got this sh*t called 'Kilo,' produced by Infamous, with me, the Clipse and Cam'ron. Bananas! I told you I was taking you to the dark side. N*ggas is going hard. N*ggas is going super hard. N*ggas will get this album and be like, 'D*mn. Joe knows how to make the hard-core album of a lifetime.' ... I got my Just Blaze track today, so I'm excited. I got [DJ Premier], Just Blaze, Scram Jones. Me and Cool & Dre did this monster with Trey Songz. I'm real happy with the album, man. I'm like one or two gems away from wrapping the deal. I'm just trying to dumb out. [Producer] Buckwild gave me something ugly." (MTV)

Let Go & Let God "Too Short" Set To Release His First Digital-Only Release As An Independent Artist "Still Blowin" April 6, 2010 (AllHipHop News) Oakland rap pioneer Too $hort is taking his independent hustle to the Internet with the release of his new album, Still Blowin. Still Blowin, which is Too $hort’s first digital-only release as an independent artist, will be released on his Dangerous Music record label. Fans will be treated to guest appearances by Earl Hayes, Baby of Cash Money, Silk E, SNL of young money and the Too $hort’s group, Town Bizness. "My thing is I just like to work in the studio & make a ton of new music,” Too $hort told AllHipHop.com. “I work with several different producers & artists and whenever it's time for me to release another album, I always have plenty of material on hand to choose from…It's always been that way with me." Still Blowin also features productions from Lil Jon, Jazze Pha and Too $hort himself, who contributed six tracks to his new album. After 25 years in the game and a long tenure on Jive Records, Too $hort is excited about the new opportunities digital distribution provides independent artists. Still Blowin’ will be distributed digitally via Urban Music Alliance (UMA). The move gives Too $hort unprecedented creative and business control of his future. "I'm doing a digital only release because at this point in my career, I have to be able to make my music available to the masses without depending on a major label,” Too $hort told AllHipHop.com. “The majors will not push your product if you don't have the hottest single on the radio & huge 1st week sales." http://allhiphop.com/stories/news/archive/2010/02/22/22131601.aspx
