This mix tape is filled with beats of hood-classics and it's HOOD-TASTIC!!!!! I have to say my favorite "Bay Area" mix tape and my favorite mix tape of the year. This is the blue print I'd use if I was making a mix tape, and it's free. This would probably be the one mix tape, I'd actually buy.
"Beeda Weeda", the young powerhouse from East Oakland, California, has amassed quite the impressive discography in his six-year career. He burst onto the scene with his first mixtape, "Homework", and fanned the flames with albums like "Turfology 101" and "Da Thizzness", as well as with collaborations with "E-40" and "J. Stalin". And now, he is releasing his latest collection, "Bass Rock Babies: The Leak", made available to fans as a free mixtape.
An impressive effort all by itself, "Bass Rock Babies: The Leak" actually serves as an appetizer to "Beeda’s" forthcoming full-length album, "Too $hort Presents: Bass Rock Babies", which will be released on March 6th via Clear Label Records. In addition to "Too $hort’s" contribution, fans can look forward to collaborations with a who's-who of Bay Area rappers, including "E-40", "J. Stalin", "Mistah FAB", and "Shady Nate".

"Apple Valley" rapper,"ProzperaD" comes with two tracks, one that cracks and one lacks. I did not like "ROCKSTAR", but he was just a feature on it, but maybe I'm hating cuz I just wasn't crazy about the beat or the singing on the song, just not my thing, but it wasn't the worst song I've ever heard.
But I looooooved "Venting3" and it really showed his rap ability and the love and respect he has for God and his willingness to be used as a vessel to raise the consciousness of those who know and to bring light to those who aren't living right.

"MY LIFE" is off "HEN-ROQ's" up coming mixtape "THE MAKINGS OF HEN" scheduled for a Spring 2012 release.
On this "My Life" track "HEN-ROQ" touches on personal issues within his life. "My Life is public property, It's an open book that I am comfortable to share with. Hoping it touches whoever may be dealing with the same issues to let them knowyou aren't alone," said "HEN-ROQ".
