"East Oakland" Rapper "Beeda Weeda"
"Do It Biggie"

On March 6th, "Beeda Weeda" will release his latest album, "Too $hort Presents: Bass Rock Babies" via Clear Label Records. Already this month, "Beeda" released a pre-album mixtape, "Bass Rock Babies: The Leak", and now he's excited to release his new single, "Do It Biggie". The song, which recently premiered on "Bay Area" radio powerhouse 106 KMEL and has become of a fast favorite of radio personality Big Von, is a boisterous affair, with horn stabs and 808s laying the foundation for "Beeda's" high energy raps.

And despite repping "East Oakland", the record was crafted with the utmost appreciation for the "East Coast" innovator from whom the song draws its name, paying homage to the legacy of "Notorious B.I.G." and his Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. Throughout the song, "Beeda" incorporates references, scratches, and even lyrics from Biggie. "Thuggin' like 2pac/ Pimpin' like Pimp C/ Smoking like Marley/ B*tch I do it Biggie," raps "Beeda" on the song's chorus, while incorporating elsewhere like, "Roll the trees up in my Philly, light it up like, 'Baby, baby!'"

"Beeda Weeda" is a young rapper/producer hailing from "East Oakland, CA", and first got his start in 2006 with his nationally recognized "Homework" mixtape. Later that same year, "Beeda" released his acclaimed debut album, "Turfology 101".

Riding the wave of notoriety his single, "Turfs Up", got him huge success including a music video airing on 32 stations, generating over 1,000,000 hits online and boosting the rapper to number 3 on MySpace's Top 10 Hip Hop/Rap Artists.

He later worked on a remix of the track with a number of Bay Area legends including E-40 and Too $hort, among others. He has produced for such acts as Brooklyn's own Wildcats, Suga Free, Yuckmouth and more.

His latest project, "Bass Rock Babies: The Leak", is a free mixtape and precursor to the full-length album, "Too $hort Presents: Bass Rock Babies", due out on March 6th, 2012 via Clear Label Records.

The new era of swag is in full effect. "Rob Grimes", is quickly becoming on of the leaders of hip hop's next generation, making the transition from a backpack rapper to a full-fledged icon.

Known for his clever rhymes and eccentric flow, "Rob Grimes" has won many freestyle battles and has been the opening act for artist such as T.I., Mistah F.A.B., Curren$y and Kendrick Lamar.

Growing up in "San Diego", "Rob" was heavily influenced by skateboard culture. But along the way hip-hop music was always the soundtrack that he skated to, and at that age he discovered The Roots’ classic “Things Fall Apart” album, Common’s “Like Water for Chocolate” and Mos Def’s “Black on Both Sides”.

As of late, "Rob" has built a buzz in his city and on the net with the single “Ride”, for which he shot a music video showcasing his young, wavy California lifestyle. That underground sensation is the first single off "Rob’s" upcoming project, “Grimetime”. Platinum producer Chase N. Cashe is working with "Rob" on a collaboration for that new venture, as "Rob" continues to keep his fans guessing about what’s in store for “Grimetime”.

A diligent worker, "Rob" stays focused and is adamant about taking his career to the next level. "Rob's" previous projects – “Grimetime Radio Vol. 1”, “Billboard Killa Vol.1” and “Talk of Town” – are a testament to his song-making versatility. This hungry artist switches it up from club bangers to conscious rap and never loses himself in the process, which sets him apart from rest. From battle raps to hit records, "Rob" does it all.

"Oakland, CA" Rapper "Shady Nate" ft. "VT"
"Getting Paid" (Official Video)

Ummm, I'm not into "dread-heads", but "Shady Nate" is waaaaaaaay cuter, than I was thinking.
I don't know what I was thinking, but I shouldn't of thought that!!!!!

2011 was a hot year for "West Oakland" rapper "Shady Nate". In July, "Nate" teamed up with "DJ Fresh" to release "Still Based On A True Story", and just three months later, on October 11th, "Nate" released his latest solo album, "Son Of The Hood". He continues to release a string of visuals from both projects, and this latest video, for the single "Getting Paid" from "Son Of The Hood", continues "Nate's" streak of gritty, street visuals.

"Getting Paid" is a tried-and-true street anthem, but one that succeeds by not sacrificing reality for fantasy."I'm out on that grind all day/ And I'm trying to get paid," sings VT on the song's chorus, before adding, "Cause, homie, I'm trying to eat."

For his part, "Nate" does much the same as he balances out the track with a combination of slick talk and darker realizations, as he follows lines like, "I let my money talk for me, it's nothing I gotta say" by rapping, "Look out for them boys, they're trying to lock us/ In them decoys, they sit and watch us."

"Sudanese" Hip-Hip Female Rapper "Reema Major" 01/08/2012

16 Year Old "Sudanese" Hip-Hop Female Rapper
"Reema Major"

Picture
"Reema Major" is a good contender; she participated in a BET Cypher last year at the age of fifteen, released her third mixtape in May and dropped a video, "I'm The One" last month featuring a cameo appearance by "Rick Ross".

This is what I'm talking about. Not only what the rap game needs, but the female rap game needs. "Reema Major" has flows, creativity, originality and lyrics. Yea, she's cute and trendy, but "Reema Major" is not relying on her looks, she relies on her talent to get the game shook.

"Reema" was born in 1995 in Khartoum born to a Sudanese mother and a father from Dubai. When she was young her family fled the war to Kenya and later Uganda, before moving to Canada in 1998 – most of her young life was spent moving from one place to the next. At the age of five, "Reema" was first exposed to rapping by her older cousin in Canada.

Ten years down the line, she had moved to Kansas, USA by then – her talent was exposed through radio appearances and a mix tape "Youngest in charge". She moved back to Canada, started working with Canadian management and performed at the Honey Jam, then at the 2010 BET Cypher. That same year she signed a record deal with G7/Universal/Interscope, resulting in a new mixtape and the current single "I’m The One" with its video partly shot in Miami in the presence of "Rick Ross".
While "Reema" is often introduced as a Canadian artist, she’s representing her heritage to the fullest. Growing up she learned to speak Arabic and a Sudanese language, as can be heard in the intro of "These Streets".

"Mike WiLL Made It" has been teasing fans on and off over the past weeks with new tracks and exclusives from his forthcoming mixtape, "Est. In 1989".

Now, the Marietta-born, Atlanta-based producer is excited to announce a December 27th release date for the tape, and also give fans the latest single, "Who's Fuccin' Wit Me", a song that features legendary "Dogg Pound Gang" rappers "Daz Dillinger" & "Kurupt".

"Daz reached out, just to tell me that he respected what I've been doing," explains Mike, discussing how the song came together. "I told him I'd been respecting what they've been doing for years – they're legends – so let's work. Kurupt and Daz came through on this one, knocked it out instantly."

Throughout his career, "Mike" has lent his sound to a variety of up-and-coming artists, not least of all being Future, for his recent Big Boi- and Young Jeezy-featuring single "Ain't No Way Around It" and a host of other tracks, but "Mike" gets just as much gratification out of working with artists he followed as a youngster. "It's always fun working with hot artists, or discovering new talent," notes WiLL, "but it can be even better working with the artists you grew up listening to and admiring."

The Bay's, "Andre Nikatina" formerly known as "Dre Dog" is entering his 20th year in the rap game. Emerging on the scene in 1992.

Back in September he released a video for the single "Still Gon' Ball", and now, with plans to release a new album on April 20, 2012, "Nickatina" is back a new song and video from that album with "Call The Dealer".

The video does what many fail to do in this day and age of public access to technology: tell a story. As "Nickatina" narrates from a distant room, we are provided with hands on experience of the dope game as his lyrics suggest. "I feel 2012," says Andre, " will be a big dope year. Not necessarily for me, but for people doing and selling dope. This video is a dedication to that."

DAYUM! "Ludacris" got so much beef, I'mma need a tooth pick for my teeth.

Shouts out to "Futuristic Blogger" @futuristicblog for keep'n me fresh with the new mess. (lol)

So, Atlanta rapper, "Ludacris", well Illinois rapper, as "Shawn J" pointed out, set the hip-hop world buzzing with his new video “Bada Boom” which was a diss track for "Big Sean".

Now "Luda" has funk with former friend/associate and ex label-mate "Shawn J.", of "Field Mob".

So, "Ludacris" released a track called "Say It To My Face", talking to "Shawn J", cuz "Shawn J" was talking crap on "Twitter". So, "Shawn J" comes back with his own diss track called "P*ssy Boy", using the beat "Waka Flocka's" new track "Round Of Applause".

Honestly, now that I've listened to both tracks, "Shawn J's" is kinda whack! He was getting on "Luda", I give em that. But the response to a diss track should always be better than the original diss track, and it just wasn't. "Ludacris" got on "Shawn J's" head, like he was an illegitimate cousin.
