"Brooklyn" native, "Kershey Blair", has no trouble simply being herself. Her modo is "Live Like A Princess, Look Like A Barbie".
The singer, songwriter and performer who is of West Indian, Chinese and Irish descent, is self-proclaimed the music industry's new "It Girl."
"Kershey" is often compared to her musical icon, Beyonce, for her complete package of classy sex appeal, sassy lyrics and natural voice skills.
Not only does she write all of her songs, she also has written hooks and songs for other aspiring artists like herself. She strongly believes that her gift of songwriting primarily will set her apart from the new class of female singers coming into the industry.
Her first released song ever, "Moment for Life Remix" left her Twitter and Facebook with a swarm of compliments from friends, family, but mostly curious strangers.
With no manager, PR, or label behind her, she scored over 1,000 views overnight. "I asked an old friend on Twitter to listen to the song and she said that she had already listened because she had to see what the fuss was all about," she recalls. Clearly, there's an 'it factor' that draws the public to "Kershey Blair", already at this early stage in her career.
The multitalented singer is also balancing her studies inpsychology at the prestigious New York University. She has also released her own clothing line, "It Girl Couture".
