The new era of swag is in full effect. "Rob Grimes", is quickly becoming on of the leaders of hip hop's next generation, making the transition from a backpack rapper to a full-fledged icon

Known for his clever rhymes and eccentric flow, "Rob Grimes" has won many freestyle battles and has been the opening act for artist such as T.I., Mistah F.A.B., Curren$y and Kendrick Lamar

Growing up in "San Diego", "Rob" was heavily influenced by skateboard culture. But along the way hip-hop music was always the soundtrack that he skated to, and at that age he discovered The Roots’ classic “Things Fall Apart” album, Common’sLike Water for Chocolate” and Mos Def’sBlack on Both Sides”.

As of late, "Rob" has built a buzz in his city and on the net with the single “Ride”, for which he shot a music video showcasing his young, wavy California lifestyle. That underground sensation is the first single off "Rob’s" upcoming project, “Grimetime”. Platinum producer Chase N. Cashe is working with "Rob" on a collaboration for that new venture, as "Rob" continues to keep his fans guessing about what’s in store for “Grimetime”.

A diligent worker, "Rob" stays focused and is adamant about taking his career to the next level. "Rob's" previous projects – “Grimetime Radio Vol. 1”, “Billboard Killa Vol.1” and “Talk of Town” – are a testament to his song-making versatility. This hungry artist switches it up from club bangers to conscious rap and never loses himself in the process, which sets him apart from rest. From battle raps to hit records, "Rob" does it all.
