"Afro Samurai"  "Afro Samurai" is a Japanese series written and illustrated by manga artist Takashi Okazaki. It was originally serialized irregularly in the magazine "Nou Nou Hau" from September 1999 to May 2000. Inspired by Takashi Okazaki's love of soul and hip hop music and American media.
"Afro Samurai" follows the life of "Afro Samurai" who witnessed his father (owner of the No. 1 headband) being killed by the hands of a gunslinger named "Justice" (owner of the No. 2 headband) while he was a child. As an adult, "Afro" sets off to avenge his father's death and kill "Justice".
The "Afro Samurai" was adapted into a 5-episode anime TV series by Studio Gonzo in 2007. The same studio also went on to produce a made-for-TV movie sequel entitled "Afro Samurai: Resurrection" in 2009, which gained two Emmy nominations, for "Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation", which it won, and "Outstanding Animated Program". After the release of the anime series, "Takashi Okazaki" remade the original "Afro Samurai" into a two-volume manga. In addition to the success of the anime series, "Afro Samurai" has also been adapted into a video game. For the TV series and the film, two soundtracks by the "RZA" of "Wu-Tang Clan" have been released as well as a profile book in Japan.
Los Angeles, CA July 21, 2011 it was announced that The Indomina Group, is teaming with "Samuel L. Jackson" and Gonzo Studios to produce a new live action film based on the popular “Afro Samurai” animated series that has spawned an impressive franchise and a global following.
"Samuel L. Jackson" has been close to the franchise for a number of years having voiced "Afro Samurai" for the 2007 anime TV mini-series “Afro Samurai” and again for the 2009 Emmy® winning animated TV movie “Afro Samurai: Resurrection.”

Sacramento film director "Deon Taylor" is giving back to his community by premiering his new movie "The Hustle" at the Crest Theater, because all proceeds from the screening will benefit the Oak Park "WCIC Playmates Child Development Center".
"Deon Taylor, is a Sacramento native, said the movie cost $5 million to make in Sacramento.
"When you think about hiring 150 people to work, you simulate the economy," said Taylor.

"Vallejo", is like a double edge sword, you have your rich parts and your poor parts. Some live real good in and out the hood. But at the same time, "Vallejo" is a city who has filled bankruptcy in 2008 and since then, has seen a rise on crime, murder and prostitution.
With a population of 116,760 to 117,798, resulting in a growth of 0.9% between 2000 and 2010. I don't know where they get these stats, but aint never seen "Vallejo" described like that."Vallejo" ranks #33 out of #342 in crime.
Rapper "THC COLEONE" plays "IVAN CARTER" in the (707) movie all about the good and bad in the hood, of "Vallejo". The movie "Vallejo" shows you how grimy and dangerous it can be on the streets of "Vallejo", if you're living a life where you have to fight. "Vallejo" might be amovie, but for some out this way in the "North Bay", it goes down like this everyday.

Records New Song "Living Proof" For The Movie
"The Help"
In Theaters August 12th  "Mary J. Blige" records a brand new song "Living Proof" for the new movie "The Help".
"Mary" watched an early screening of the movie and then went away and wrote the song for the final version.
'The Help' is set in 1960s in Mississippi and three women who embark on a secret writing project. "The beautiful thing about these women is that they were very smart," says Blige in a statement. "They chose to walk in love and forgiveness." She says the movie is about the inspiration to change. "To speak to so many women with this song means a lot to me," says Blige. "I wanted to be involved with this film, because I think we need to encourage each other more, we are here to tell a story."
'The Help' is based on the #1 New York Times Best Seller and will star Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer. It will premiere in American cinemas on August 12, 2011.

She Wants To Grade On The Curve."  "Cougar Crush" is a film which features (707) Fairfield, Ca's own, "Riko Bay", but to us he's known as, fine as "Richard Livingston", as "Fearless Freddie". As you can tell from the title "Cougar Crush" is about a teacher who's crushing on her student, and the film is set in the 70's.
In case "Riko Bay" looks familiar you've probably seen him on tV advertisements, on one of my favorite shows, "I Almost Got Away With It". "Riko Bay" worked on (Episodes 8, 10, & 13) His first episode will be Episode 8, which will air Tuesday, May 31, 2011 @ 7:00 and again at 10:00pm. "Riko" plays a prison inmate. Comcast channel 271 "ID" (Investigative Discovery Channel) reruns play on channel 25 (Discovery Channel) the following Friday and Saturdays after airing.
Episode 10 will be on TV on Tuesday,June 14, 2011 where "Riko Bay" playing a Georgia Cop. Episode 13 will be on Tuesday, July 05, 2011 (playing a Forensics plain clothes Detective). They will be on at 7:00 and 10:00pm, they rerun then will also be on the website after airing also.
"Cougar Crush" was made for the 2011 Sacramento International 48hr Film Festival. The entire project had to be written, shot, edited and scored literally in 48 hours. As part of the competition, three elements needed to be included in the project. 1. A prop (cat) 2. A Statement ("we are gonna need a bigger boat") 3. A Character Name (Fearless Freddy).
"Cougar Crush" is "Riko Bay's" very first short film and was directed by Kenneth K J Johnston.
