"My Boy "OP" (Outta Pocket) told me to check out "RickyRude", and when I first seen em, I got a slight attitude, cuz I was like "OP" knows my get down. But once I got past the "punk rock" exterior and listened to his flow, "RickyRude" go.
It's the old "Don't Judge A Book by It's Cover". Do to the fact that rap is largely dominated by black males, it's kinda of hard to find someone to compare "RickyRude" to. He's not like "Eminem" or "The Beastie Boys", he's just him. Who and how he is, and that's all kids. I guess maybe it would be how "Travis Barker" would be if he rapped. (lol)
Not to only be limited as a rapper, "Ricky Rude" also sings and began his career on the "Philly" battle scene. After completely destroying his local competition, he was invited to freestyle on "103 The Beat's BatCave" radio. After an hillarious freestyle that left the show's hosts in disbelief, he caught the ear of "Young Money" producer "Andrew Wansel" (Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Sean Kingston), who quickly offered to record "Ricky". The result was the 2009 viral smash "She Wants My D***". After the song debuted on "Ricky's" first street album "Senior Cut Day", it quickly earned him over 600,000 views on MySpace. The buzz led him to shoot the video, which has almost instantly had more than 1 million views on websites from the US to Japan300,000 of those views have been thanks to WorldStarHipHop.com.

The massive viral success has paid off in 2010: "
RickyRude" has a secret catalog of unreleased hits produced by the likes of "Cool & Dre"(The Game, Lil Wayne, Gym Class Heroes, Rick Ross), "J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League" (Jeezy, Rick Ross, Plies), and "1500 Or Nothin" (Jay-Z, Kanye West, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, Asher Roth). "Ricky" has toured with "Lupe Fiasco", opened for "Kanye West" and "Common", and performed in cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Recently, "Barrington Levy" caught "Ricky's" star and cast him in the "No War" music video.

"
Ricky's" fresh sound, crossover appeal, and viral success has already attracted widespread industry attention resulting in multiple record deal offers. For now, "Ricky's" just taking it all in stride while remaining focused on recording smash hits, touring, merchandising, and building his star.

Whether you call him "
The Next White Hype" or "The Punk Rap Prince", "RickyRude's" astounding success has been achieved without a penny spent on advertising, proving that "Ricky Rude" is authentic and just what the scene needs right now.

The "Bay Area" Group
"The Propane Gang
"Kitty Kat" & "Propane Bounce"
Off New Album "In My Zone"

Picture
"The Propane Gang", is a "Bay Area" group who started back in 2005, but was known then as the "Town Boyz". Group members "A.O.B.", "Franchi$e", "Nadi-B", & "Aveezy" went from recording in their own personal studios, to working with "Original", who started his own record company, called "Galaxy Productions".

In 2006 "Original" helped the "Fire-N-Squad" put together a album, that never got released, due to personal reasons,it was always one thing or the other that would hold the group back from dropping a project. But, fortunately in 2007 the "Town Boyz" decided to do a compilation, under "Galaxy Productions", with the help of the "Young Hustlaz", "The Show Stoppas", "Sinatra","Nathan Nice" and "Champ Green".

At the end of 2007 "Town Boyz" decided to take a road trip towards Seattle, to sell their music, which was a successful trip. But, once again, due to group disagreements, the "Town Boyz" broke apart and everyone started to do their own projects, except "A.O.B" & "Aveezy".  The two knew that had something hot in their hands, so they decided to keep making music together, and teamed up with super producer "Nathan Nice".

"Nathan Nice",  was actually the one who came up with name of the group "Tha Fire-N-Squad". On a new mission with some new conditions, "Fire-N-Squad" set up the block, to burn it down with knocks. "Fire-N-Squad" began to collaborate with the "Bay's" "Beeda Weeda" on a song called "G-Thang", that received a lot of positive feedback, in and out of the hood, which was the start of something good. Together they dropped an album and added "Ray Ruthless" to the group.

Continuing to stand tall and withstanding it all, swag'n through the ups-n-downs, "Aveezy" and "A.O.B" continued to keep the flame lit, with the help of "Nathan Nice" and "Ray Ruthless", got the the "Fire-N-Squad" hot and ready to drop knocks

"Fire-N-Squad" is set to release their trendsetting music that will have the world looking at rap groups differently, by showing what teamwork, talent and persistence can do, in what they do.

"In My Zone" is the soon to be released album, and has features from "Universal Motown's" artist "London", "The Bay's", "Young Gully", "AB" of "Tha Young Hustlaz","Dre" from "3oak" and more!

"Gospel" artist "Deitrick Haddon" has dropped his 11th album called "Church On The Moon". The cd was released on January 25th and is already nation wide the number 1 Gospel album

Emerging from the highly competitive gospel scene in Detroit, Michigan, with its numerous and skillful traditional choirs, "Deitrick Haddon" has made his mark in progressive gospel styles. Drawing on a range of secular music that extended from classic soul to hiphop, "Haddon" made a point of using his music as a ministry to the unchurched

Born May 17, 1973 in Detroit, he was the son of Bishop Clarence Haddon, pastor at the Unity Cathedral of Faith, a Full Gospel church on the city's west side. "Haddon's"  mother Joyce also became a minister. Bishop Haddon used music to attract and to help focus the lives of young people in the troubled neighborhood, organizing Trinidadian steel drum classes at the church and incorporating the instruments into church services. But Unity Cathedral also had a choir, and "Deitrick" was soon enlisted to direct it

Actually, "Haddon" started preaching before he turned to music
Showing a gift for holding the attention of a crowd, he gave his first sermon at age 11. Soon his mother encouraged him to take solos with Unity Cathedral's 60-voice adult choir. "Haddon" was reluctant at first. "I'd be crying while I was singing," he told an interviewer from the
Kay 3 Music Web site. "I was shy back in the day and I hated to sing. But they [his parents] pushed me to do it. Sometimes I'd be sleeping and my friends would wake me up and say, hey D.D., they callin' you to do a solo." Two years later, the church's regular choir director resigned; and young "Haddon" was appointed one of two choir directors.

"Haddon"  would remain in his choir director post for over 15 years, until moving to Florida with his wife in the mid-2000s. He also served as Unity's assistant pastor. The choir took on the name "Voices of Unity" and became known beyond Detroit. Unity Cathedral itself grew and opened a branch in the Detroit suburb of Inkster. Signed to the small Tyscot label in 1994, "Haddon" and "Voices of Unity" issued the album "
Come into This House" the following year. "Live the Life", released in 1997, began to put "Haddon" on the gospel music map as it won two Gospel Music Workshop of America awards, one for New Artist of the Year: Urban Contemporary and the other for Album of the Year: Urban Contemporary.

In the past few years "Philthy Rich" has really stood out on the independent rap scene in the "Bay Area". "Philthy Rich" is one of the hardest working artists from "Oakland", and releases a steady stream of material to keep the buzz going. "Philthy" has performed at venues on a local and national level, in front of audiences ranging from 1,000 to 30,000. He has  worked with many upcoming and well known artists in the industry including "Webbie", "Slim Thug", "Dorrough Music", "Bobby V", "Keak Da Sneak", "Young Noble", "San Quinn", "Mitchy Slick", "Too $hort", "E-40", "The Team", "Mob Figaz", "The Hoodstarz", "Messy Marv", "Yukmouth", "Mistah F.A.B". and many more.

"Philthy Rich" was given his name as a youngster growing up on the tuff blocks of "Seminary" in "East Oakland" by "Dame Fame", a Town legend. In 2007 .

"Philthy Rich" had planned a five city tour featuring many new "Oakland" artists but was cut short due to drug charges for sales of cocaine. After being released from serving a sentence of one year in county jail for drug sales, "Philthy" knew he had to focus on music, and did so by releasing 8 independent mixtapes, dvds and street albums titled "Streets On Lock" EP, "Hood Rich", "Hood Rich 2", "Tha Skumbagz", "PhilthyFresh", "PhilthyFresh: The Dvd", "Funk Or Die:  The Leak" and a pre album with "Dj Fresh" titled "My Block: Welcome To Sem City". In 2009, he released his first official album titled "Funk Or Die" under "Town Thizzness/Live Wire Records/SMC" and the long awaited street album titled "Neighborhood Supastar" under "Live Wire Records/Hunid Racks/City Hall", both of which are in store now.

In 2009 "Philthy" was also featured on "Discovery Channel's"  television show "Gang Wars" (Oakland) but was arrested right after the show aired. In 2010, after being released from jail from a 6 month sentence for a loaded fire arm he has already released 12 projects: "Free Philthy Rich", "Funk Season" 1 & 2, "Trip'n 4 Life: the Leak", "Thizz Nation 27", "Neighborhood Supastar 2", "Loyalty B4 Royalty 1 & 2", "Flyest Nigga On 2 Feet" EP, "Early Morning Shift 3", "Funk Or Die" The Dvd and "My Block: Welcome To Sem City 2" with "Dj Fresh".

"Philthy" feels that his hustle game will take him to the top and his street cred and swagger separates him from the rest and cannot be compared. With every year being bigger and better for this "Sem City"  general, it's hard not to see that "Philthy Rich" is the next to blow, and with his new album"Trip'n 4 Life" releasing Feb 1, 2011 "Philthy Rich" is ready to go.

"Dat N*gga Drizzle" was born and raised in East Oakland, CA, but has stayed all over the Bay, which has contributed to the rapper and man he is today. Growing up with less than some, but more than others, "Drizzle" is thankful for his father and his mother, who taught him right from wrong and did their best to keep a roof over his head, shoes on his feet with enough food to eat. But growing up in a life of poverty gave "Drizzle" a thirst and hunger for more, and "Drizzle" knew he would not live the rest of his life being poor. He bumped his head as a teen and put his parent’s through stress, trying to have more and refusing to settle for less. Now, with a goal and a motivation to come from poverty to success, "Drizzle" wants to return back to his community and give back, from what God has blessed.

"Dat N*gga Drizzle" gives credit where credit it due, he grew up inspired by and listening to Tupac, Lil Boosie, Webbie& and local artists Twin, from Berkley, Wild Bill & his cousin Kurt Diggler from East Oakland. Like most rappers, "Drizzle", started from humble beginnings, actually getting his start in 2008, where he recorded his first song in Twin’s garage. "Drizzle" feels like the Bay has kinda lost its way, and has gotten off track, and he wants to bring that old skool Oakland sound back.

With his undeniable talent "Dat N*gga Drizzle" has already began his claim to fame, working with Bay Area names like DB The General, Ricco tha Kidd, DJ Upgrade of Bad Mouth ENT, Cubba, Boe & Trigg of LPIT ENT, Lil Al tha Gamer and Wild Bill. "Dat Nigga Dr*zzle" has been keeping the mic hot and blowing up the spot, performing at Caribbean City in Oakland, CA & the 821 Lounge in Hayward, CA with 106.1 KMEL DJ, Rick Lee.

"Drizzle" dropped his mix tape “Life Of A Stunna” which is on it’s way to becoming a hood classic, that you can’t help but slap it. “High Power Fakin”, ”The Money” and a song for the ladies called “You”, are just a sample of what "Dat N*gga Drizzle" can do.

Hoping to further his street buzz to nationwide love, "Dat N*gga Drizzle", will soon be dropping his solo album, “Loyalty Before Royalty”, with guaranteed bangers “Make It”, "Streets Made Us” & “In Da Club” ft F1.

"Drizzle" is also looking forward to releasing a collaborative album with “Wild Bill” called “Undeniable Talent”, due out the summer of 2011, with their first single, “Infatuated”.

"Dat N*gga Drizzle", may still be young in the rap game, but he is mature in his flows, as his pockets and notoriety continue to grow. "Drizzle" supports and reps the Bay and would like to work with other successful Bay Area artist like R.O.D, E-40 & Goapele. Although, "Dat N*gga Drizzle" is seeing major success being an independent artist, if he was offered a major contract with “Trill ENT”, or “Cash Money” he’d definitely have to give it a try, because he’d like Bay Area music to continue to grow nation and worldwide.

"Drizzle" continues to remain humble and thankful to God for the talent and opportunity to do what he loves to do, and get paid for it, too. "Drizzle" not only writes his rhymes, but spends some time producing beats, and would eventually like to start his own clothing line and pursue an acting career. With tattoos, a mean mug and 18kt dental gold iced to the max, "Drizz" follows and shows where the money’s at. His tattoo “Loyalty Before Royalty” makes it plain, that he’s keep’n, it real over financial gain.

"That N*gga Drizzle" keeps God, his family, true friends and label associates, LPIT ENT first, and always remembers to thank his fans, who support his music and his message, to quench his thirst.

Depending upon who you ask about this gentleman you’ll receive a plethora of aliases "Rapsody", "Mr Clean", "Mr. Seldom Seen" or "Menace Tree", despite the wide range of aka's the thing that remains the same is the anointing on his music. "Donald Ray Johnson III"  known as "Menace Tree" (pronounced Ministry) has been a minister of music for well over a decade. Although music is his passion he considers the wife of his youth, who just celebrated their 10 year anniversary, and their 4 children to be his 1st ministry

In January 2003 "Menace Tree" released his first album entitled “Manna“ under the name "Rapsody" from his "2:11 Muzik" record label which was well received in the "Bay Area" and raised the bar on many levels for "Gospel Rap/Holy Hip-Hop" artists.

"Menace Tree" is a 2009 graduate of the "School Of Worship Arts" program at "The Ministry Training" Institute in Vacaville, California. His resume includes ministering at numerous juvenile institutions, adult correctional facilities including Pelican Bay State Prison, colleges, churches, and the list goes on. A native of Fairfield/Suisun, California "Menace Tree’s" heart is to bring Jesus Christ to his community, his county, his region, and across the globe. Above all, he aims to remain available and in proximity to the throne that he may be able to effectively communicate the heart of God to people of all walks.

In 2010 "Menace Tree" did it again releasing his "Jaws Of Life" mix tape with some old and some old made new tracks, that still slap. "Menace Tree" has a hard hitt'n style, that makes you want to slap da beat and turn up the dial. While you will be entertained by his metaphors, delivery and flow, he make is plain that "Christ" is the only way to go. God is prevalent and relevant in every track he spits and that's why "Menace Tree" is comfortable where he sits. Not in it for the money, recognition or fame, "Menace Tree" is in it to save souls, and bring glory to God's name.

If you aint heard, you need to sit down and take a listen, cuz these dudes are take'n you back, to how emcee's used to flow on a track. With classic old skool beats and flows, this is how good rap used to go. Listening to "Helpless Dreamer" reminded me of when life just used to be fun without crack and guns.

The recently released "
Mello Music Group" compilation album, "Helpless Dreamer", features a song called "Home Comes First" which is all about recognizing where you come from. "Home Comes First" combines the talents of emcees "Kenn Starr" and "Finale" on the mic and "Apollo Brown" on production. With "Starr" and "Finale"  both dropping albums on "Mello Music Group" in 2011, titled "Square One" and "Odds & Ends" respectively, and "Apollo" still hot off the success of his collaborations with "The Left" and "Boog Brown", these three are doing it and getting it done, son.

"Apollo Brown", best known as the go-to producer in the "Motor City" rap circuit, he quickly began working with indie rap royalty like "Little Brother" and "Black Millk". Now, the beat smith steps out with "
The Reset". Reminiscent of the early 90s classics he reveres, "Brown's" new album has definitely raised the bar in his hip-hop purists, and for the upstart label "Mello Music Group" alike.

"Everything I make, I try to make it my favorite album of all time" producer "Appolo Brown" insists.

The Mello Music Group compilation, "
Helpless Dreamer", is available now.

"Big Rich" Drops New Album "Built To Last"
Peep "Built 2 Last", "Lavish", "Success",
 "Love & Hate"& "It's Bigga"
Drop'n November 30th

Picture
"Big Rich" born "Richard Bougere Jr.", September 12, 1981 and grew up in "San Francisco'sFilmore District in the time of pimps, playa's and hustla's. In the 80's it was the dope game, in the 90's it was the crack game. Seeing the game stop being lucrative because of greed and death "Big Rich" has made it his mission to give back to his community and to show the younger generation that there is another way out. That you can get paid and live good in and out the hood and don't have to sell dope, that there is hope.

Rapping since the age of 11, "Big Rich" credits a fellow "Frisco" rapper "San Quinn" for being a mentor and a brother to him in the rap game. "Half of my life he was there for me so on a personal level I learned how to carry myself as a man, and carry myself as a rapper". On a more bigger level of influence was "2Pac" for a million reasons.

"Big Rich" started in the game making beats and producing, he began working with major "Bay Area" rap legends like "San Quinn", "Rappin 4tay", "RBL Posse", and "JT tha Bigga Figga", all before his 16th birthday. But "Big Rich" ran out of artist to slang beats to, he was prompted to get on the mic and continue his own hype.

"Big Rich" started out with a group called "Fully Loaded", started "Done Deal Entertainment" along with "San Quin" and "Charles Kelly" back in 98. But with "San Quinn" getting major interest from "Atlantic", "Def Jam" & "Universal", not wanting to stand in his way of landing a major record deal they agreed to let him do what he had to do, to get what he wanted to get. Plus as a label they wanted to stay independent, so as most groups do, they broke up and went their separate ways. After "Done Deal" split in 2005, "Charles Kelly" the CEO, took "Street Cred Music" over to "Koch" and offered "Big Rich" a great recording deal and president of "Street Cred". "San Quinn" gave "Big Rich" his blessings he signed with "Koch" in 2006.

Once "Big Rich" released his debut album "Block Tested, Hood Approved", the gained instant and nationwide notoriety with his single "That's The Business", which was "Jam of the Week" on "MTV Jams", "106 & Park's" "New Joint of the Day" on "BET", and also made it on the "Sucka Free Countdown" on "MTV1". But in 2008, when "Big Rich" joined forces with his longtime mentor, "San Quinn" and "Boo Banger" to recorded one of the biggest songs in "Bay Area" history, the "San Francisco Anthem".

"Big Rich" prefers to be behind the scenes and produce but not as much as making the actual music, but making moves, making it happen and putting thangs together. A true business man at heart, "Big Rich" always wanted to be "CEO" before he wanted to be a rapper, but feels he got better once he went solo and was able to explore his creativity as an individual.

Keep'n "Frisco" rap on da map with his new album "Built To Last

"Big Rich" aint take'n no naps, he's coming with slaps, & "Bay Area Blaps".
