"Spike Lee" is throw'n a birthday party in Brooklyn for a public celebration of "Michael Jackson's" birthday which is Saturday August 29th.

The free party will be held in the Nethermead meadow in Prospect Park on Saturday afternoon, rain or shine

The New York Times reported Friday that the initial crowd estimate of 2,000 swelled to more than 10,000.

It's reported that the "Rev. Al Sharpton" will say a prayer at the party. President Marty Markowitz will present a proclamation declaring Aug. 29 "Michael Jackson Day" in Brooklyn. "DJ Spinna" will play all things "Michael Jackson".

"Michael Jackson" would have turned 51.
