One of the originators of panty toss'n R & B floss'n pioneers "Teddy Pendegrass" has passed away at the age of 59 at Bryan Mawr hospitsal in Philadelphia Wednesday night January 13, 2010.

"Teddy" was the survivor of a 1982 car accident, which left him paralyzed from the waist down but he still continued on with his career. "Teddy" bust into the scene with "Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes" and eventually went solo and recorded many classics records and was dubbed "Teddy Bear" for his velvety smooth voice. Eight months ago, he underwent surgery for colon cancer and was said have had a difficult recovery, according to his son Teddy Jr.
